The HCMC Adaptation to Climate Change Study, carried out by ICEM for the Asian Development Bank in partnership with the HCMC Peoples Committee, is an initial step in a planned response by the city to the challenges it faces in adapting to climate change.
VOL 3: Annexes is the third volume of a three volume set comprising VOL 1: Executive Summary and VOL 2: Main Report. There is also a Ho Chi Minh City Adaptation to Climate Change: Summary Report.
VOL 3 presents additional information to supplement the study findings presented in VOL 2: Main Study Report. It is intended that this volume be read in conjunction with the main report to provide the interested reader with in-depth analyses on core issues addressed in the study.
A separate annex has been prepared for each of the chapters in the main report, including two project case studies. Detailed cross references have been provided in the main report to the data contained in the annex.
The methodology employed for the study involved five broad activities:
- Baseline assessment and projection of future conditions
- Assessing the threat through modeling of climate change
- Assessing the impact and vulnerability
- Identifying adaptation options and priorities
- Recommendations for integration with development planning
This annex also provides further details of the study methodology applied in the study.
