Project Description
In the transboundary 3S sub-basin—formed by the Sekong, Sesan, and Srepok rivers and shared by Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Viet Nam—ICEM worked with GIZ and the Mekong River Commission to conduct a preparatory study to support the design of a joint project on sustainable water resource management in the region.
As part of this effort, ICEM developed a Basin Diagnostic Assessment that analyzes the sub-basin’s physical and socio-economic context, identifies key transboundary challenges, highlights risk hotspots, and examines current and emerging trends in water and natural resource management.
