BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – 21-23 September 2015: Depth of ICEM Experience in Rivers to be Featured in 18th Annual International RiverSymposium

Tarek Ketelsen, ICEM Technical Director, will present as a keynote speaker at this year’s International RiverSymposium to be held in Brisbane, Australia.

The International Riversymposium brings together river managers, policy developers, scientists, consultants, NGOs and community organisations to share knowledge and innovative ideas on all aspects of river and water management.

The theme of this year’s Riversymposium is “Healthy Rivers – Healthy Economies”, which aims to engage with the multitude of businesses and organisations who contribute to and benefit from the wise management of rivers and their catchments.

ICEM was sought out for the Symposium for its work on the Strategic Enivironmental Assessment of Hydropower on the Mekong Mainstream, an award-winning project completed for the MRC in 2010. In the years since, ICEM has deepened its expertise in rivers and hydropower development in the Mekong. Relevant projects include:
