Dr. Seak Sophat

Seak has over 25 years of experience in natural and water resource management, climate change adaptation, and biodiversity conservation in the Mekong region. His expertise includes participatory biodiversity monitoring linked to adaptive management interventions. He has worked with a wide range of donors and organizations, including Danida, Sida, DFID, CIDA, AusAID, ADB, World Bank, ICCO, UNDP, FAO, MRC, Oxfam, Heinrich Böll Foundation, CDRI, and numerous local NGOs. Dr. Sophat holds a PhD in Natural Resource Management and two Master’s degrees in Natural Resource Management, and in Aquaculture and Aquatic Resource Management, from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand.
